Braxton studied English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Fiction Filmmaking at Michigan State University until he graduated in 2023. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at School of the Art Institute in Chicago, IL. His filmmaking and literary projects warp genres and highlight the color, surrealism, melancholy, and manic absurdity of life. In 2022, his short horror film "Jennifer Rots" ran the festival circuit and won "Viewer's Choice" at the Desmond District Demons Film Festival.
